Wedding in chateau de Vallery in Burgundy

November 19, 2025

In this article, I will tell you all you need to know about planning a wedding in the Chateau de Vallery!

Chateau de Vallery is located two hours' driving distance away from Paris. It is a fabulous venue for hosting destination wedding weekends in Burgundy.

If your goal is to create an experience-oriented, party-intense weekend where guests would be placed in a carefree bubble far from the ordinary, then you should look no further!

Chateau de Vallery is a perfect place to disconnect, to have fun, and to bond.

The easiest way to get your guests to the property is to organise shuttles for them.

Up to 58 adults can stay on site, and if your guest count is higher, there are bed and breakfasts available in the village. For those who prefer more comfort, there is a new 5-star hotel available in Sens, a little town 25 minutes driving distance away from the venue.

Wedding in Chateau de Vallery - Experience

You can start your wedding weekend with a wine tasting in the cellar of the chateau. Let a professional sommelier tell you the story of wines produced in the area, and enjoy the unusual settings. To continue the night, why not to host an open air, candle-lit dinner in front of the chateau?

You can even dare dancing as of the first night. Because who said you needed to wait until the wedding day to start having fun?

If dancing feels too much for the first night, you can opt for an open air concert or a garden party with light cocktails and snacks. Add a flower bar where ladies can create their own floral crowns, and voilà, your themed party is ready!

On the wedding day, guests are invited to have a brunch in one of the venue’s numerous gardens. Whilst bridal party is getting ready, others can enjoy the pool or play golf in the Golf du Senonais club (located only 15 minutes driving distance away).

The beauty of hosting a wedding in chateau de Vallery is that you can choose between various spaces and never repeat yourself. Every moment of the weekend can be hosted in a different area, so that your guests keep discovering the place again and again. Numerous indoor areas allow for a very elegant plan B, should the weather be capricious.

Your ceremony can take place in the Greek garden, or on the lawn in front of the castle. The cocktail hour can take place in the garden in front of the chateau. My favourite location for the dinner is surely the Grande gallerie – a fabulous ballroom with a very Renaissance feel to it. Dramatic draping on the ceiling adds charm to the space that otherwise would feel cold. Spacious enough to host a dinner for 60-80 people and a dancefloor in the same place, this room is perfect for the wedding reception.

The cherry on the cake – you can have fireworks that will be launched from the Medieval part of the chateau. What a view!

The third day is typically the official pool party day. Get a dj to transform this moment in to a cool, Ibiza-inspired after-party with energising mocktails and fresh fruit salads. Previously, we have brought in an ice cream cart that was a huge success!
