Wedding weekend in Paris – three-day celebration in the most iconic locations of the French capital

November 19, 2025

If you are looking for ideas for your wedding weekend in Paris, you are in the right place. In this article I will take you to the greatest addresses of the French capital.

This wedding took place mid-October, and lasted three days. On the first day, the bridal party and immediate family were invited to Lafayette’s, a stylish Parisian restaurant with a fancy décor and simple menu. Fun fact – Madame Bezos invited the Kardashians and Katy Perry to the exact same restaurant when she was partying in Paris before her wedding.

The beauty of destination weddings in Paris is that your guests can party and sightsee on the same day, and this is priceless! The first part of the day two was dedicated to individual visits, and in the evening, guests were invited for a private cruise on the Seine.

Excellence, the boat operated by Yachts de Paris (probably the best one on the Parisian market), has a spacious upper deck for your guests to enjoy the views of Parisian monuments while sipping champagne.

The catering is excellent, as is the signature cocktail bar. In the beginning of the cruise, the party was outdoors, but after sunset, it gradually moved indoors. In mid-October, temperatures are too low to stay outside for too long in a cocktail dress. That being said, if the whole cruise took place during the daytime, and not in the evening, the whole celebration could potentially be outdoors. Bear that in mind when you will be deciding on the day schedule.

Wedding reception in Shangri La Paris

The wedding reception was hosted in the iconic Shangri La Paris, a luxury hotel with phenomenal ballrooms. Generous floral arrangements in white and green, were highlighting the venue’s architecture, and creating the opulent and romantic ambiance.

Entertainment was of a great importance for the couple, this is why there were no hesitation whether it is better to hire a band or a dj. Great bands make a huge difference when it comes to setting the right tone for your wedding.

Unlike with traditional catering companies that operate in castles, at Shangri La, guests are offered a four-course menu that includes starter, fish and meat dishes, and a plated desert. It is important to know that it is a unique menu for all guests (apart from those having dietary restrictions), and you won’t be able to offer your guests a choice between several proteins.

Food and drinks are excellent at Shangri La, but for my couples’ weddings, I always recommend hiring an external bartending company, if having great signature cocktail bar is highly important for you. This is how you can get the best experience and the largest variety of drinks.

Having an opportunity to dance until late without worrying about noise restrictions is always very important to couples that decide to work with me, and in Shangri La, you can have your party until 3 am, if you wish so.
